NEXT architecture recently completed the 9,950 square foot interior office, laboratory and clean room space for the Hillman Cancer Center Immunologic Monitoring and Cellular Products Laboratory (IMCPL) at the Riviera near downtown Pittsburgh. The lab space contains a BSL-2 wet lab along with nine clean rooms ISO 7 (Level 10000) classified with additional ISO 8 space. NEXT architecture provided support in the documentation and certification of the IMPCL for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) processes that facilitate patient treatments. Wet lab and clean rooms are arranged along the perimeter of the space to take advantage of the views to downtown Pittsburgh. The intent was to design an office that provided open workspace with a focus on lab and clean room space.
