NEXT architecture designed the 5,000 square foot workplace for Carlson Lynch Sweet & Kilpela in Pittsburgh, PA. The goal of the project was to blend the client’s desire for work and social space within a single environment. NEXT utilized felt panels, suspended from the ceiling to create this permeable division. The felt panels provided visual and sound privacy but also served as a design feature element. Panels were laser cut to allow light and vision through but provided enough privacy to keep work separate from play. Modern materials and color was applied in contrast with the existing exposed structure and walls.
