Freshii, a Canadian based grab and go restaurant, recently opened its flagship store in the Pittsburgh region in the heart of downtown. Freshii’s brand of fresh and healthy products, in addition to the historic background of the Union Trust Building lobby served as inspiration for the space concept. The challenge of this project was to unite an existing long, narrow, bi-level retail space to function as a modern cafe. Classic patterns and finishes were used in modern application to create a relaxed and hip atmosphere in the store. The store offers Freshii’s traditional menu items in addition to a full coffee bar. A variety of seating is used throughout the restaurant to accommodate many users. Design by Freshii Design Team with NEXT architecture.
