NEXT architecture was engaged by UBER Advanced Technology Group’s (ATG) for their 100,000 square foot expansion in the Crucible Building in Pittsburgh’s Strip District neighborhood. NEXT worked with UBER to program three floor plates with ample conferencing and break out space for up to 700 new employees in the facility. The design pays homage to the history of the building while maintaining UBER’s modern aesthetic. The design features natural materials including wood, steel, moss and green walls set in contrast with the industrial building they occupy.
