The CMU Information Networking Institute (INI), part of Carnegie Mellon University's College of Engineering, engaged NEXT to renovate its' office space to enhance natural light, upgrade finishes, and improve HVAC systems to create a more comfortable environment for faculty, students, and visitors.

Inspired by a community garden, the design is expressed through architectural elements featuring acoustic felt "planter domes" and lattice-like trellises in warm, natural tones. These features define open, collaborative workspaces while creating a cohesive, inviting environment.
