Camp8 Capital approached NEXT architecture to reimagine the underutilized rooftop of their multi-family parking structure. With more parking that required by Pittsburgh's Zoning Code, the goal was to transform a portion of the structure into an amenity the residents would enjoy.

Repurposing structured parking comes with unique code challenges, and NEXT architecture led the full code appeal and permitting process to make this innovative conversion possible.

The result is a vibrant rooftop destination featuring two pickleball courts, a covered lounge, community garden, workout zone, and more. NEXT architecture collaborated with Plantscape to integrate a mix of live and artificial greenery, and partnered with artist Gregg Valley to bring the rooftop to life with a custom mural.
