NEXT architecture completed the expansion and renovation of Parma Sausage in the historic Strip District neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA. Since 1954, Parma Sausage has been one of most important purveyors of fine Italian meats in the local area. To meet the needs of an ever-growing, full-service facility, the project included expanding and renovating into an adjacent, street level retail space. The design focused on creating a space that reflected the company image. As a small family business, it was important to the client to keep the rich history of Parma Sausage apparent in the design. The new space also provided ease of access and visibility, the keys to the success for Parma Sausage.
