NEXT architecture completed Ansys’ 180,000 square foot headquarters, located at Zenith Ridge in the Southpointe II business park in Canonsburg, PA. Ansys is a fast-growing software development company, specializing in simulation software. NEXT performed an in-depth programming study that established planning and design concepts. The results allowed the interior space to adapt to the workplace culture and streamline Ansys’ internal operations.

The design concept was drawn from Ansys’ simulation driven product development software. Ansys’ simulations create outputs that visually express test resultants through the use of line, volume and color gradients. The resultants are a visual expression of Ansys. NEXT’s goal was to create a space that physically embodied the essence of the company. Through collaboration with Ansys’s design team, resultant images were manipulated into graphic art pieces to provide visual texture for public spaces within the building. The built environment expresses the nature of the company, successfully corresponding to Ansys’ simulation driven product development software. Exterior materials were used on the inside of the building to continue a seamless interior/ exterior space.
